Setting the Price:
In the Product Data box, select Simple Product. Enter the Regular Price. Add a Sale Price if discounted.
Image Guidelines:
- Product/gallery images: max 1200×1200 px (portrait preferred)
- Header images: up to 1920 px wide, under 500 KB
- Use JPG for smaller file sizes and faster loading; PNG only if transparency needed
- Use descriptive filenames (e.g., dark-tanning-mousse.jpg)
Categories and Tags:
Tick the correct Category (Tanning, Bundles, Accessories). Add Tags such as “self tan” or “bronzing mousse”.
Finding the Product ID:
Go to Dashboard > Products > All Products. Hover over a product to view its ID. Use that number in shortcodes like:
[product_hero id="190"]
SEO (Yoast):
Fill in the Focus Keyphrase, SEO Title, Meta Description, and Slug. Aim for green indicators.
To Create Product Variations:
- In the Product Data panel (where you set prices, SKU, etc.), select Variable Product from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Attributes tab, then choose Add New.
- Enter the Attribute Type (for example, Size or Colour).
- In the value box, add the available options separated by a pipe character (
|), e.g. Double | Quad.
- Tick the box labelled Used for Variations, then click Save Attributes.
- Next, go to the Variations tab in the same panel and click Generate variations from attributes.
- This will automatically create one variation for each attribute combination. You can then set individual prices, SKUs, and images for each variation.
Tip: Each variation acts like its own mini-product, so check that pricing and images are correct before updating. You don’t have to update the page after these changes.
